Not a LUT.
An intention.

Most colorists apply a look. CiD builds one. Working from the DP's lighting choices, a director's creative vision, and the overall aesthetic of the production, every project begins with a deliberate, from-scratch grade — not a preset dropped on top of the footage.

That philosophy started long before DaVinci Resolve. As a media manager, CiD watched every clip back fully — never just scrubbing — and began generating color reports using Gamma and Density software that traveled with the footage and gave productions a new standard of visual accountability.

Whether the vision comes from a DP, a director, or a producer, the goal is the same: editorial cuts that carry the intended aesthetic from day one. That intention has a way of surviving all the way to the final product.

Capabilities

01

Commercial Color

Product shots, skin tones, brand color fidelity. Extensive advertising experience including national broadcast delivery for major brands.

02

Dailies & Workflow

Intentional dailies built to a DP's or director's vision — not LUT-driven. Editorial feels right from the very first cut.

03

Color Correction

Shot-by-shot correction for exposure, white balance, continuity, and technical accuracy — the foundation every grade is built on.

04

Creative Grading

Building looks from scratch that transform footage into a distinct visual world — a different feel, a different era, a different emotional truth.

05

On-Set DIT

Color-accurate monitoring, media management, and set-side color work across all major cinema camera platforms.

06

Director's Intention

Color as a storytelling tool — working directly with directors and producers to translate a visual concept into a grade that serves the story.

07

Technical Recovery

Footage recovery, upressing for higher-grade delivery, stuck pixels, continuity matching. When it has to be fixed, it gets fixed.

Work Done

Dailies CreationIntentional dailies built from scratch to reflect a DP's or director's vision — so editorial always starts in the right emotional space.

Color CorrectionTechnical precision across exposure, white balance, continuity, and image integrity — the foundation that makes creative grading possible.

Creative GradesBuilding looks that transform footage into a distinct visual world — a different feel, a different era, a different emotional register entirely.

Beauty & SkinRemoving under-eye bags, blemishes, and bald spots within highly stylized, locked looks — without breaking the grade.

Product PerfectionColor-critical commercial work for national brands — where the food, the product, and the brand color all have to be exactly right.

Footage RecoveryRecovered usable media from a dead hard drive. Upressed footage to meet higher-grade delivery specs. When it has to exist, it gets done.

About

Born in Hollywood, CA — CiD's relationship with cinema started early. The way a film fuses image, sound, and experience into something that stays with you: that's what this work is about.

The path here wasn't linear. After studying political science and working within Los Angeles city government — including time with Councilman Tony Cardenas — a return to media production pulled CiD back toward the work that always mattered most.

Starting as a camera PA and working through camera builds, media management, and on-set support, CiD was present at the ground floor of the digital cinema revolution — managing P2 media, working alongside early Sony F900, Panasonic, and Genesis systems, and proactively training on RED cameras before most of the industry had encountered them.

That foundation built an eye. Today CiD operates at the intersection of on-set expertise and post-production precision — available for advertising, commercial, and narrative projects across Los Angeles and beyond.
